Curves to Quilt

This book shows quilters how to step out of their straight-seam comfort zone as they learn to add circular shapes to their quilting. Beginner quilts make use of appliquéd circles and leaves added to basic patchwork. Intermediate projects use variations of the classic Drunkard's Path block and piecing curved templates to create unique designs. Advanced projects use multiple curves in the quilt design and also add curves to the borders and binding. Projects include contemporary table runners, a pillow, quilts for kids, throws, full-size bed quilts, and wall quilts. Techniques used include appliqué, patchwork, and paper piecing. Each design is shown in a lifestyle photograph, has an assembly diagram, and is accompanied by a complete materials list and step-by-step instructions.
