Please note:
Fiber Art classes require significant preparation, including purchasing supplies and creating custom kits in advance. Because of this investment of time and materials, cancellations directly affect both the shop and instructor.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

CANCELLATIONS FOR 1 DAY CLASSES:
For classes listed as 1 day or less, cancellation must be made at least 14 days prior to the first day of class to receive a refund. Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the start of class forfeit all registration fees. On occasion, classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If this occurs, you will receive a full refund. To avoid purchasing fabrics and supplies unnecessarily, please confirm with the instructor or shop that minimum enrollment has been met before buying materials.

CANCELLATIONS FOR 2-5 DAY CLASSES (Retreats will have their own policy):
For classes listed as 2–5 days, cancellation must be made at least 45 days prior to the first day of class to receive a refund. Cancellations made fewer than 45 days before the start of class forfeit all registration fees. On occasion, classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. If this occurs, you will receive a full refund. To minimize the chance of purchasing fabrics and supplies before a class is confirmed, please check with the instructor or shop to ensure minimum enrollment has been met.

Materials Included: Class supply list and pre-class instructions are available for pick-up at Quilt Central Studio for registered participants.

Instructor: Deb Deaton
Instructor Bio: Deb Deaton received her art degree from the Art Institute of Colorado in 1978. Since then, she has been creating art in many forms; oil, watercolor, pen and ink, charcoal, ink, mixed media, and fiber art. Trained by a top London fashion designer and seamstress, Deb began sewing her family’s clothes and was a consultant for Colorado’s largest Couture Bridal shop. She began quilting 30 years ago and although she loves to create beautiful quilts, her love of art moved her into Fiber Arts, leading to her launch of DJ’s Fiber Arts. She is an award-winning fiber and multi-media artist, creating fiber art quilts, painting her own fabric, embellishing quilts with different fibers and media such as silk, wool, paints, beads and more. Today, Deb is a full-time fiber artist who enjoys sharing her knowledge through the unique and exciting classes she offers, introducing students to the amazing world of art quilts. Her motto is: “NO RULES, JUST ART” Deb is a native of Colorado and moved to Arizona in 2019. She worked 30 years in the corporate world, working directly with Bill Gates at Microsoft her last seven years. Deb has BS Degrees in both Computer Science and Business Management. She is married to her wonderful husband and “Creative Director” Kevin, has two sons and three grandkids. When she is not creating, she loves going for long walks and having ice cream with her two, four-legged kids.
