| Instructor: | Sheryl Wenstrand |
| Instructor Bio: | I was born and raised in the Phoenix, Arizona area. My sewing experience began at age 9 when my mother taught me to make a reversible skirt. I sewed garments for many years, then discovered quilting in 1995. Garment sewing stopped abruptly; I had found my passion. My profession was in the computer industry and I found the stress of the job was balanced by the creative outlet quilting provided. I became a certified Quilt-In-A-Day instructor and enjoyed sharing what I’d learned with my friends and family. A year after moving to Green Valley, I began working in a local quilt shop, teaching beginning quilting and bag/purse making until the shop closed. Quilting and bag-making have been my main hobbies and I have also found some time for beading, occasional garment-making and paper crafts. I am thrilled to be an instructor for Quilt Central Studio and look forward to working with the staff and meeting new friends in my classes. |
