Desert Moon with Joy Timpany - 2 Day Class
If you can draw it, you can quilt it. In this skill building and technique class, you’ll learn this extreme curved technique along with the insetting of points, circles and triangles. This class will help you to have the confidence in making curved pattern quilts or learning skills to help design your own patterns.
This is a 2-day class, the first day is preparing the pattern and auditioning fabric and then making the first block. Day 2 is making the 2nd and 3rd blocks, and some tips on free-motion quilting.

| Instructor Bio: | 1996 Marked Joy’s start in quilting and by 2003 she was teaching the art to others. Joy has several years’ experience, working in the California, Hawaii and Florida quilting communities and various shops, providing skilled and creative guidance to customers of all ages and experience levels. Joy has worked with local, national and international teachers and instructors, assisting in their preparation of quilting presentations in her position as Director of the Educational Development Department in Hawaii. Along with teaching classes, Joy served as the President of the local guild near her home in Florida. Through her leadership the guild gifted quilts to local veterans and children’s pillowcases and quilts annually. In 2023, Joy and her husband moved to Green Valley from Venice, Florida. Joy quickly shares “Quilting is my passion. One of my goals for life, is to make quilting something you can look at and see that you CAN quilt this.” |
