Desert Sky with Arlene - 2 Day Class

Are you ready for something different? Here it is. Stained glass technique using fusible is a one-of-a-kind treat. This quilt uses steam-a-seam fusible and Clover quick bias fusible tape. Unlike stained glass quilts of the past, this is a quick project. One that highlights the beauty of our desert sunsets.

Instructor Bio: | Arlene brings over fifty years of experience in quilt making and design to her classes. She started back when a quilt maker used cereal boxes as template material, but she was hooked. Back in Minnesota she began expanding by hand quilting for others as well a quilt repair. Her personal quilting began to take over when she discovered needle turn applique. What fun! Now she could draw a picture and put it into fabric. In 1994 she started Arlene Walsh Designs, a quilt pattern company that specialized in Southwest designs. Arlene has lectured and taught in shops and at guilds across the southwest until retirement in 2018. She lives in Green Valley with her husband, Larry, of 56 years. Quilt Central Studio is now her home away from home. |
