DEMO * Four Patch Square Up: New Tool Introduction with Jane ~ 1/2 Day Demonstration

Join us for the demonstration of this fantastic tool! Learn all of the fun features of the Four Patch Square Up tool from Studio 180 Design. The tool makes it easy to recreate exactly trimmed four patch blocks as small as 1/2” finished, up to a 6” finished block. When I first learned about this tool I wondered, “why do I need a tool for those simple blocks”. Then I stared using the tool and it increased the precision so much, especially for the small sizes. Now I use it for my precision four patch units and I would not even want to attempt to make a four patch as small as 1/2” square finished without it. You’ll also learn a fun technique called, the Off Set Four Patch.

The Four Patch Square Up© Tool is the solution. Like all the Studio 180 Design rulers and processes, this tool and technique will have you build your units slightly oversized and then quickly trim them to perfect shapes. The Four Patch Square Up© Tool is designed to work with units that finish to whole or half inch increments, from ½” finished up to 6” finished unit sizes. The tool’s perfectly engineered lines are designed to quickly locate and align with the unit center and the sewn seams, allowing for easy trimming on all four sides. The accuracy is amazing!

Your units will be the correct size. They will have seams properly positioned. And they will have edges that are straight, even, and square. No more guess work! So jump in and give it a try, you will be absolutely thrilled with the results.

Instructor Bio: I'm so happy to join the team of instructors at Quilt Central Studio. I?ve been sewing since I was a teenager and began quilting about 20 years ago. I started out slowly, making a wreath wall hanging and then took a block of a month class at a local quilt shop, made my first quilt top. I had a very busy career, working for a large tech company in Northern California, so was only able to quilt now and then. After taking an early retirement about eight years ago, I've been more creative than ever, and fully embraced my love of being a quilt maker. I started my own business, called Rose Bush Quilts and have been teaching classes in Northern California, designing my own quilts and became a Certified Instructor for the set of tools created by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 Design. I've come to Southern Arizona for several months a year for the last 15 years, visiting family. Since 2020 and the COVID crisis, I decided to relocate permanently and have been very happy with that decision. I look forward to meeting some of you in my classes where the main focus will be to share knowledge, learn and mostly importantly, have fun.
